Description

Designed by Carl Auböck IV in 1995, the Vase on Pedestal combines an archaic, almost ceremonial silhouette with the refined material language of the Carl Auböck workshop. Its slender body in dark patinated brass rises from a polished brass base, creating a deliberate contrast between muted depth and reflective brilliance.

Measuring 19 centimetres in height, the vase can hold a single flower or a restrained botanical arrangement, while remaining equally compelling as a sculptural object in its own right. Its clear vertical composition and carefully balanced proportions translate the workshop’s long-standing metalworking tradition into a distinctly contemporary design. Each piece is made with great care in Austria. Subtle variations in the patina and surface are characteristic of the artisanal process and give every vase its individual appearance.
