Description
The Coat Hook M was also designed by Carl Auböck II in 1948, such as the version in size L we offer here. Its compact form, reduced to a single sweeping gesture, combines practical function with a sculptural presence. Dark patinated brass gives the object visual depth, while selectively polished areas emphasise its outline and modelled character.
Model #4330 M is made in the Carl Auböck workshop in Vienna using the original mould and the traditional sand-casting process, before being finished and patinated by hand. Subtle casting marks and variations in colour and surface record its artisanal production. The medium-sized hook is suitable for jackets, hats, scarves, towels or smaller bags. Installed alone or combined with the larger version, it creates a functional yet rhythmic wall composition.

Info: After some time a patina develops on the polished brass surface, which can be polished off with a soft cloth and then brass polish - if desired. The patinated surface must only be carefully wiped with a dry cloth and never treated with cleaning agents. If you like, you can treat it afterwards for example with a linseed oil.
