Description
Designed by Carl Auböck II in 1948, the Coat Hook L is defined by its elongated and highly reduced form. Made from solid brass, it combines a clear functional gesture with the sculptural quality characteristic of many objects from the Carl Auböck workshop. A dark patina gives the metal visual depth, while the polished edge subtly defines its outline.
Model #4330 L is made in Vienna using the original mould and the traditional sand-casting process before being finished and patinated by hand. Small surface variations and subtle traces of casting or manual finishing make every example distinct. The hook may be installed individually as a strong wall accent or combined with the smaller version to create a rhythmic and functional coat-hanging composition.

Info: Through the use of the original mold small errors, such as scratches or small creases can arise in the polished surface, which, however, do not detract from the charm of the object and underline the craft manufacturing process. Every piece one of a kind. The patinated surface must only be carefully wiped with a dry cloth and never treated with cleaning agents. If you like, you can treat it afterwards for example with a linseed oil.
