Description
The minimalist Watering Can #4118 was designed by Carl Auböck II in Vienna in 1951/52. Its unusually elongated body transforms a familiar household implement into a precise, almost architectural form. Made entirely from polished brass, its reflective surface emphasises the clarity of the silhouette and lends the object a warm material presence.
With an overall length of 53 centimetres, the watering can has a striking horizontal profile. Its extended spout allows indoor plants and less accessible pots to be watered with control and precision. Beyond its practical purpose, the design stands confidently as a sculptural object in its own right. Made in Austria, it combines utility, balanced proportions and the distinctive material sensibility of Werkstätte Carl Auböck. Over time, the brass may develop an individual natural patina.
