Description
A paperweight that actually rings.
The “JINGLE” is one of those charming small designs by Carl Auböck III in which function, material and a touch of humour come together perfectly. Its form recalls a traditional sleigh bell – and, just like one, the solid brass body produces a clear ringing sound when moved.
Model #5039 was originally designed in the early 1960s and is now reproduced by Werkstätte Carl Auböck in Vienna using the historic original forms.
The bell is made from polished brass and finished with a leather loop. The leather makes the object pleasant to handle while reinforcing the playful, almost nostalgic character of the design.
In its solid form, the “JINGLE” works as a paperweight, but also as a small acoustic object and decorative sculpture for a desk, library or sideboard.
As with other handcrafted objects from Werkstätte Carl Auböck, individual pieces may vary slightly in surface and finish. These minor differences are part of the handmade production process and should not be regarded as defects.
JINGLE – a small object that is not only seen and touched, but also heard.
