"Feather" Object - Patinated Brass

The “Feather” object was designed by Carl Auböck II and belongs to the characteristic small sculptures of the Carl Auböck workshop. The natural form of a bird’s feather is translated into patinated brass and reduced to its essential lines.

The appeal lies in the contrast: a feather suggests lightness and movement, while brass gives the form weight and permanence. The dark patina emphasises the organic surface and makes the piece resemble a natural fragment preserved over time.

Displayed alone on a desk, sideboard or shelf, or together with other Auböck objects, the “Feather” works equally well as a small sculpture and decorative design object.
