Description
Designed by Carl Auböck II in 1950, the Double Coat Hook #4086 combines functional clarity with a distinctly sculptural form. Two opposing hooks emerge from its compact body, providing space for coats, jackets, hats or bags. The dark patina lends depth to the brass, while the polished edge precisely defines the object’s silhouette.
The model is sand-cast in the Carl Auböck workshop in Vienna using the original mould, before being finished and patinated by hand. Small irregularities, subtle marks and variations in the surface are authentic characteristics of this artisanal process. Used individually, the hook creates a restrained accent on the wall; arranged alongside other Auböck models, it becomes part of an expressive and highly individual coat-hanging composition.
On request, this coat hook is also available from us in polished brass.
