Description
The round “Trivet” #5509-1 was designed by Carl Auböck III in 1970. Its precise circular silhouette and contrasting polished and patinated brass finishes give this functional table accessory a distinctly sculptural presence. Of course, we also offer a rectangular counterpart here.
The reflective upper surface catches the light in warm tones, while the patinated areas add depth and emphasize the object’s archaic character. Designed to protect a dining table from hot vessels, the trivet can also be used beneath a vase, as a display platform or as a striking decorative object in its own right.

Care: After some time a patina can develop on the polished brass surface, which can be polished off with a soft cloth and then brass polish - if desired. The patinated surface can be treated very easily with linseed oil.
