Description
The “Bird” Double Coat Hook was designed by Carl Auböck II in 1948. Its wide, symmetrical silhouette evokes a bird in flight, combining visual lightness with a clearly defined practical function. Two opposing hooks provide space for coats, jackets, hats or bags.
Made from solid polished brass, the surface responds vividly to light and its surroundings. Model #4995 becomes particularly expressive when installed as a group: arranged horizontally or vertically, several hooks form a free composition reminiscent of a flock of birds. The piece continues to be made in the Carl Auböck workshop in Vienna. Subtle casting and finishing marks reveal the artisanal origins of every example.

Info: After some time a patina can develop on the polished brass surface, which can be polished off with a soft cloth and then brass polish - if desired. Through the use of the original mold small errors, such as scratches or small creases can arise in the polished surface, which, however, do not detract from the charm of the object and underline the craft manufacturing process.
