Carafe "Alpha" Glass - rosalin

A pale rose tint gives the Alpha carafe an almost luminous presence. Designed by Hans Harald Rath for J. & L. Lobmeyr in 1952, its rounded body and gently drawn-in centre create a shape that feels both sculptural and remarkably natural in the hand. 

Each carafe is mouth-blown in exceptionally fine muslin glass. Rosalin introduces colour without concealing the clarity of the material, changing subtly with the light and the drink it holds. Pair it with matching Alpha tumblers for a calm monochrome setting or combine several colours for a more spontaneous table. Delicate in appearance yet intended for regular use, it is Viennese modernism at its most relaxed.
