Bitossi Rimini Blu Cylinder Vase

A simple cylinder provides one of the clearest introductions to Aldo Londi’s Rimini Blu language. With no elaborate silhouette to distract the eye, colour, texture and handmade decoration take centre stage.

Abstract geometric impressions travel around the tall ceramic body. The brilliant crystalline glaze collects within them, producing a varied surface of turquoise, marine blue and dense cobalt.

The 30-centimetre height suits long-stemmed flowers, grasses or a single branch. Displayed empty, the vase becomes a calm vertical accent with enough colour and texture to stand alone.

Placed beside the more sculptural Rocchetto Vase, it creates a particularly effective dialogue between two contrasting approaches to form.

Each vase is wheel-turned, decorated and glazed by hand in Italy. Natural variations give every example an individual finish.
