Description
Aldo Londi’s Dove is one of the quietest figures in the Rimini Blu family. Designed for Bitossi in 1956, its rounded body and composed posture express calm without requiring elaborate detail.
The dove is a universal emblem of peace, hope and reconciliation. Presented as a pair, doves traditionally represent love, loyalty and an enduring bond.
Hand-impressed geometric motifs give rhythm to the ceramic surface. Bitossi’s crystalline glaze moves across them in changing shades of turquoise, marine blue and deep cobalt.
At 23 centimetres long, the Dove works as a small sculpture or decorative paperweight. Its symbolism also makes it a thoughtful gift for a wedding, a new home or a fresh beginning.
Every figure is decorated and glazed by hand in Italy. Natural variations give each Dove a distinct finish.
