Description
Aldo Londi found the starting point for Rocchetto in the shape of a simple spool. Enlarged and translated into ceramic, this familiar object becomes one of the most recognisable silhouettes in the Rimini Blu collection.
A narrow centre connects two broad circular volumes, giving the vase a strong rhythm and a distinctly architectural profile. Its form remains perfectly legible from every direction.
Hand-impressed geometric decoration covers the surface beneath a brilliant crystalline glaze. Turquoise, marine blue and dense cobalt shift across the relief as the light changes.
At 34 centimetres high, Rocchetto can hold a few flowers or a single branch. Empty, it has all the presence of a self-contained ceramic sculpture.
Each vase is wheel-turned, decorated and glazed by hand in Italy. Natural variations make every Rocchetto subtly individual.
