The Large Hand Keyring is based on a design originally created in 1952 by Carl Auböck II as a paperweight. More than sixty years later, Carl Auböck IV revisited this iconic object and reintroduced it in 2016 as an extraordinary keyring measuring over 10 centimetres in length.
Handcrafted from solid polished brass in the Carl Auböck workshop in Vienna, it retains the sculptural presence of the original while becoming a functional everyday companion. Each piece is carefully finished by hand and gradually develops a rich natural patina that enhances its unique character.
Far more than a keyring, the Large Hand is a distinctive design object that carries the legacy of the Auböck workshop into the present day.

Material: Brass polished. Metal ring, brass plated.
Info: After some time a patina can develop on the polished brass surface, which can be polished off with a soft cloth and then brass polish - if desired. Through the use of the original mold small errors, such as scratches or small creases can arise in the polished surface, which, however, do not detract from the charm of the object and underline the craft manufacturing process.
