Vito Nesta

Designer

Vito Nesta has been part of Contemporum. from the very beginning. His own creative venture and ours both took shape in 2018 – a shared point of departure that makes his work an especially personal part of our selection. Born in Puglia, educated in Florence and now based in Milan, Nesta approaches design as a form of visual storytelling. His objects draw on travel, art, photography and the enduring fascination of cultures discovered far from home.

Working across product design, interiors and art direction, Vito Nesta has developed a distinctive language shaped by curiosity rather than convention. Collaborations with international names including Devon & Devon, Les Ottomans, Riva 1920 and Roche Bobois allowed him to explore a broad range of materials and techniques. With the launch of Grand Tour in 2018, these experiences found a home of their own: a continuously evolving collection inspired by real journeys, imagined destinations and fragments of the past.

Las Palmas evokes lush palms and distant shores; Cairo looks towards the richness of the Orient; Casquets captures dramatic skies and the restless sea, while Mediterraneo recalls the layered landscapes and architecture of the Mediterranean world. Manufactured by a traditional porcelain maker in the Czech Republic and carefully finished in Italy, the pieces unite European craftsmanship with Nesta’s richly narrative imagery.

Designed to be used as well as admired, the collections can be mixed across patterns, colours and sizes. A Vito Nesta table is never rigid or overly coordinated. It is personal, cultured and wonderfully expressive – a contemporary Grand Tour composed one plate, one memory and one conversation at a time.

Beyond the curated selection presented here, Contemporum. can supply the complete Vito Nesta and Grand Tour programme upon request. We are also pleased to work with interior studios, architects, hotels, restaurants and private or commercial projects, assisting with individual selections, larger quantities and complete tableware or interior concepts.
