Description
This well-known and very modernist corkscrew "Skull" was designed by Carl Auböck II in 1952/53 and is today still produced in the Vienna based workshop using the original casting molds (sand casting). The protective cover / handle is made of flamed rattan which looks very Japanese and timeless as well.
Details
Material: Brass polished / Handle flamed rattan.
Info: After some time a patina can develop on the polished brass surface, which can be polished off with a soft cloth and then brass polish - if desired. Through the use of the original mold small errors, such as scratches or small creases can arise in the polished surface, which, however, do not detract from the charm of the object and underline the craft manufacturing process.
