ZIETA Prozessdesign was founded in 2009 by the young Polish architect Oskar Zieta. Oskar Zieta began experimenting with sheet steel during his studies at ETH in Zürich, developing his wellknown "FIDU technology" (free internal pressure forming), in which thin, welded steel sheets are inflated with air under internal pressure to an object or product.
The air-pressure molded products play with the contrast of lightness and stability and are very popular as unique accessoires and seating furniture for the home and contract sector.
Zieta Prozessdesign consists of a team of architects, designers, engineers and technologists and sees it´s main goal to deliver us uniqueness and individuality in design and construction while innovating production, transport and storage.
From 2009/2010, FIDU products were awarded with several important design prizes worldwide, many products were included in the collections of renowned museums, such as the Center Pompidou in Paris, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, the Zurich Design Museum and the Badische Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe. Meanwhile, prototypes and products made in limited edition found their way into auction houses specializing in design and passed on at very high prices.
